I am a qualified family officer by profession with expertise in wealth management. I am also an enthusiastic 3rd generation family member of a hospitality and real estate development business in Italy and the Eastern part of Europe.
I graduated in Finance at Bocconi University and went straight to work in asset management for large institutional mandates: first for Allianz, then for Pimco. Today I am a partner at BLU Family Office and consultant for another large international Family offices based in London where I take care of UHNWIs and large family businesses belonging to the private wealth world. I help families protecting their capital and setting up mechanisms to mitigate the impact of crises (market or family related). I also stepped in a few occasions in later stages, during the pick of the crises, where I successfully helped families turn around their hospitality businesses (operations and debt restructuring). However, planning in advance is key. This entails: succession planning, family governance setting up and diversifying wealth away from the core sector. Only in this way we can help family members remain resilient and open enough to fully embrace the opportunities that crises offer. Crises are cyclical and no one is fully immune. Common patterns among crises suggest that we can leverage on past experiences and set up procedures that will help us better deal with the crises to come.... or, better said: opportunities.
In my investment manager role I have more than a decade of experience in dealing with alternative investments with focus on distressed opportunities in the UK, Germany, Italy and Eastern Europe.
I am an enthusiastic founder of a network of women in family offices.
