Pamela Gatto is a recognized Italian interventional cardiologist specialized in standard cardiovascular treatment, with a specific focus on innovative coronary percutaneous interventions and catheter-based structural therapies.
She received a solid international training, mentored by some of the world’s foremost cardiologists and scientist in prestigious European Heart Centers.
After her graduation in Medicine and specialization in Cardiology from the University of Milan, she moved to France to continue her training. She spent many years in Toulouse at University Hospital first and later at Clinique Pasteur. There, under the supervision of her mentors, she focused her interests and studies on technological innovation applied to the catheter-based therapies for coronary and structural heart disease. Then she obtained a master’s degree in interventional cardiology from the Paris Descartes University and then an advanced specialization in the field of valvular structural heart interventions at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.
After her training she joined the cardiology team of the Princess Grace Hospital in the Principality of Monaco and then started a collaboration as practitioner and chief of Medical Unit in the Cardiology Department of the nearby University Hospital of Nice in French Riviera.
Dr Gatto collaborates with national and international scientific institutions for research in cardiology and takes part to a number of projects focused on technological innovation for minimally invasive cardiovascular therapies.
She is member of the European Society of Cardiology and of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Intervention (EAPCI), and at a national level, of the Italian and French Society of Cardiology.
She is involved in humanitarian medical projects collaborating for medical missions and charity for humanitarian associations based in Italy and Principality of Monaco and earlier she has worked form several years as a volunteer and deputy medical director at the local delegation of the Italian Red Cross.
